Symphony
Symphony
Some commissions push creativity beyond familiar boundaries, and this six-string fretted Symphony was certainly one of them. Featuring 26 frets, dual Delano Xtender pickups in standard Jazz positions, and a parametric Richter preamp, it offers a versatile tonal palette wrapped in a truly distinctive design.
The most challenging — and ultimately rewarding — part was bringing a very specific color vision to life. The top and headstock feature local poplar burl finished in an exceptionally light baby blue, inspired by a bright sky scattered with tiny clouds. Achieving this delicate shade on the naturally warm-toned wood required extensive bleaching rather than conventional staining.
The final result is everything I hoped for, both visually and sonically — a unique Symphony that brings an ambitious idea to life.
