Left hand
Left hand
I love when a build challenges the routine – and crafting a left-handed Symphony does just that. It’s a feature that’s always been, and always will be, free of charge in my workshop.
This one showcases an ultra-rare, locally sourced piece of birdseye alder – deeply chambered for resonance – topped with an exhibition-grade poplar burl, also locally harvested. The amazakoe neck meets a pale moon ebony fingerboard that extends deep into the body, adding both aesthetic drama and functional reach.
A magnetic pickup is seamlessly built into the neck, while a piezo element sits beneath the ebony bridge – a pairing that invites a wide tonal palette. Slide pots for individual volume control are tucked neatly into the back plate, keeping the top’s silhouette clean and uninterrupted.
